Steven
Camacho
keyboards / congas
Steven was born the eldest of three children on August
31, 1982 in Seguin, Texas. His musical background began when he joined the
school band program as a percussionist in 1993. His commitment to the band
program lasted until his graduation in 2000. During his high school years,
Steven participated in various marching contests as part of the Seguin High
School Matador Marching Band. When not on the marching field, he received
numerous Level I scores by taking part in U.I.L. Solo and Ensemble contests.
In the spring of 1996, Fantacia front man Enrique Rangel,
Jr. approached Steven about joining the band. He knew Steven had been part
of the school program for a few years and was looking for someone who was
very much willing to learn as they went. Steven was quick to join and found
that his growing musical knowledge contributed very well to the group. Within
the past year Steven has taken on double duties behind the keyboards and
the congas. Steven lists his musical influences as follows: (In no particular
order) Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Rage Against the Machine, Five Pointe O,
La Mafia, Los Palominos, La Sombra, La Tropa F, and David Lee y Los Musicales.
